Applause IT is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with experience in a Cisco environment ideally utilising Fortinet products is sought by a global insurance organisation with a tech team based in the West Midlands.

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for optimising and securing the Network, maximizing uptime, assisting with developing and testing new architecture as well as communicating effectively with peers in other engineering leadership positions.

The successful Senior Network Engineer should possess knowledge of the following:

• 5+ years' experience in systems administration or consulting role in Microsoft, Cisco, or Fortinet based infrastructure
• Proven success in hands on execution and administration in an enterprise network environment
• Strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks utilizing effective time management skills
• Understanding of, and a willingness to produce high quality network diagrams, documentation, and accounting of configurations and designs.
• Ability to combine Network, Systems, and Communication skill sets into an effective problem-solving mentality
• Expertise with the followingFortinet Products:
  • FortiGate
  • FortiSwitch
  • FortiManager
  • FortiAnalyzer
  • FortiAuthenticator
  • FortiClient VPN Endpoint Software
• Cisco based certification (CCNA or CCNP)
