This leading financial services company is seeking a Senior Java Developer with excellent core Java skills to join its collaborative systems development team in Bolton.

The Senior Java Developer will be joining the systems team during an exciting period, as they embark on a major digital transformation of several Java-based business-critical solutions. The business is growing rapidly and has a need to move over to a web-service architecture. As a senior within the team, you will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle in this role and will continually evaluate and refine standards and best-practices in the Java development team

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Java Developer who is seeking a challenging role within a friendly and non-corporate technical environment. You will have a real voice to influence and will be encouraged to share your ideas.

Requirements:

  • Excellent core Java skills and a strong understanding of OOD and Java design patterns
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • An understanding of web architecture and services would be desirable (REST, JSON, HTTP etc)
