Python Systems Developer

Lancaster / Hybrid working - £35,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

Applause IT are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong experience in Python to join a UK based company specialising in state-of-the art communications and detection systems for law enforcement agencies, first responders and civilian infrastructure protection facilities.

You will be contributing to the development of market leading technology, working alongside like-minded engineers in a highly collaborative environment. The successful Systems Developer will need a strong Computing, Mathematics or Scientific background with experience of developing in the fields of Data Fusion and Machine Learning.

Experience we are looking for:

• Python
• GStreamer
• Integration of various codecs as h264, h265, mpeg4, mpeg2

Desirable skills we are looking for:

• Knowledge of AI/ML techniques
• Experience working with configuration management tools (e.g., Azure, Git).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, .Net, C#

Flexible working arrangements but candidates must be willing to come in 1/2 days per week
