Applause IT is currently recruiting for a Junior Software Developer (C++) to join this internationally renowned software organisation. This is a full-time permanent position and the successful Junior C++ Developer will be working remotely from home for the foreseeable future.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Graduate or a Junior Software Developer who has some experience with Microsoft Visual Studio coding with C++.Your knowledge and experience with C++ does not have to be academic or commercial, hobbyist experience will be considered. Our client is looking for an intelligent Graduate / Junior Software Developer with right attitude to learn and develop their skills.

The successful Junior Software Developer will be joining a leading provider of games and technology to the regulated gambling and betting industry. Primarily, you will be working with MS Visual Studio C++ and will be involved in all aspects of development. You will also be working with complex real-time systems, which incorporate AI and machine learning. This a varied role but typical projects may include, delivery of news games for clients, re-purposing of existing systems for new contexts, as well as R&D activities for improved game algorithms, rendering systems, new technologies, and new products.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience programming with C++
  • Passion for software development and able to evidence personal projects. This can include other object-orientated languages such as Java, C#, and Python.


  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject e.g. Computer Science, Maths, Physics etc
  • Knowledge of Agile working practices

Office location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Working pattern: Home working for the foreseeable future due to the COVID pandemic. This role will primarily be office-based, when it is safe to return. However, the successful candidate will be able to work remotely a few days per week. Hours of work are typically 9-to-5.
