Applause IT is currently recruiting for a Java Developer on behalf of a fast-growing software business based near Chorley, Preston. This a full-time permanent opportunity and the successful Java Developer will join the business on a remote basis due to COVID.

The Java Developer will be joining a small software engineering squad dedicated to developing solutions in the field of energy and utilities. The team is highly collaborative, they routinely pair program and follow Agile practices. As a Java Developer you will be involved in activities spanning the full software development life-cycle, including architectural design, as well as research and development into new technologies and tools.

This opportunity will suit a software developer with a minimum of two years commercial experience with a Java technology stack. Ideally, you will have worked with Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, GIT, JUnit, JQuery, Maven, HTML and CSS. You will also be eager to learn and to work in a collaborative Agile environment.

The successful Java Developer will be joining an innovative and market-leading SaaS software organisation. They invest heavily in their team and can offer excellent career prospects, as well as opportunities to work on challenging and complex projects.

Office located in Chorley and easily commutable from Preston, Blackburn, Leyland, Wigan and surrounding areas.

COVID-19: Working from home for the foreseeable future, with a balance of remote work and office work when it is safe to do so.

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000
