Market leading (no really) developer of next-generation technology-enabled home care solutions for the smart homes and assisted living market, requires new Graduate Electronics Design Engineer (circa 2 years commercial experience) who is passionate about Electronics and Firmware to work on alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers producing IoT enabled products of the future.
Assisting in the Design of robust and reliable hardware solutions under the mentorship of an experienced senior digital engineer
Documentation of design specifications and implementation details
Collaboration with other team members (including hardware, firmware, software, mechanical and PCB engineers) with specifications, interfaces etc.
Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures
Design of analogue and high-speed digital circuits
Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
Upholding of hardware design standards and methodologies
Perform compliance, regulatory and functional product testing in house and with third parties
Required Skills and Experience:
Relevant education in High-Speed Digital Design, having a working knowledge of analogue circuit design and the theory behind developing high tech products from concept through to production
A good Degree in Electronics Engineering is preferred
Any knowledge / experience of implementation of technologies including digital interfaces (PCIe, 10G Ethernet, USB 3), Memory (DDR3, DDR4, Flash) and Embedded Microprocessors (including ARM) will all be of interest
Low power design understanding
Use of RF test equipment
Any development of Embedded C software of particular interest
You will be self-motivated and capable of dealing with fast moving and varied events which are demanding. Able to analyse complex situations and give balanced well-considered decisions.
Having well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and able to deal with people at all levels both in and outside the business.
UK driving license
Desirable Skills (not essential):
Design for EMC
Working knowledge of sensors and RF design would be advantageous
