Innovative and fast-growing Smart Homes / Assisted living systems company requires motivated, enthusiastic, self-managing individual who will support the implementation of assisted living technology into the homes of people with learning disabilities or dementia.
The right candidate will be outgoing, confident and comfortable working with individuals with potentially challenging behaviours and ideally have experience as a social worker or have been involved in the care industry and having an interest in software and technology in general (Tablet Apps, IoT enables sensors, lighting, door controls etc).
The candidate will work closely with local authorities, social workers and care teams to build strong relationships with customers and support the sales director to support development growth and retention of customer accounts.
Initially this role will be to support customers in the Wirral, but there will be the potential for some travel throughout the North West of England as new contracts come online. Travel to the head office at Manchester airport will be required once a week.
Supporting end users, becoming an expert in the functionality and use of the system and providing training to customers and to the care teams who support them.
Supporting the initial assessments and reviews of the requirements of the customers.
Offering support to the end customers and our implementation teams during the roll out of systems - liaising with the customers to arrange suitable dates and times and ensuring that all relevant paperwork is in place.
Integrating within the commissioning and social worker teams, to become an integral part of care circle.
Working with the service users to ensure that they are getting the most out of the assisted technology.
Understand the needs of the service users and care providers and make recommendations for system developments.
Running regular reports to support in the care of our customers and use reports to design, plan and implement future strategies to assist in the care of our customers.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must be confident and outgoing with a cheerful outlook.
Must have strong communication skills - written and verbal.
Must be able to build strong relationships both with other professionals and service users.
Must be keen to learn about the system in detail and to become an expert in the set up and use of the system.
Must be comfortable working with elderly people with dementia and adults with learning disabilities.
Must have own car with a clean driving license.
Must have a good knowledge of the Wirral and surrounding areas.
Some experience of working with people with learning disabilities or dementia would be of benefit.
