Business Development Manager - IoT Technical Smart Home Systems, Field Sales
Manchester and Mobile (with some home working) to suit an M6 corridor candidate in the North West or West Midlands
Circa £45K base + Realistic OTE Circa £100K (uncapped) Car Allowance + Company Benefits package
Innovative and fast-growing Smart Homes / Assisted living systems company requires highly- motivated, enthusiastic, self-managing BDM will work closely with the CEO and MD to drive new business sales by promoting the implementation of assistive living technology into Councils, Care Providers, Housing Associations and the NHS.
In this role you will develop a mix of existing and new potential accounts for which sales data and leads will be provided. Initially role will support and develop customers in the North West and Midlands area, but there will be the potential for some travel throughout the UK as new opportunities come online. UK driving license is essential. A car allowance and full product training will be provided.
Become an expert in the functionality and use of their software systems - providing demonstrations and training to customers and to care teams who support them
Support initial assessments delivery teams with reviews of customer systems requirements
To integrate within commissioning and social worker teams and work with customers and potential customers and service users to ensure that they are getting the most out of the assistive technology on offer
Understanding the needs of the service users and care providers and make recommendations for system developments
Work with the CEO/MD to build short, medium, long term plans for providing profitable opportunities and improved outcomes for users
Use reports to design, plan and implement future strategies to assist in the care of our customers and additional opportunities
Required skills and experience:
Proven track record in IT / Software or Hardware Technology sales
Must be confident and outgoing with a cheerful outlook
Must have strong communication skills - written and verbal
Must be able to build strong relationships both with other professionals and service users
Must be keen to learn about the software and IoT hardware systems in detail and to become an expert in the set up and use of systems
Must have own car with a clean driving license
Experience of working within the Smart Homes / Assisted living industry would be of benefit as would any past experience selling to commissioners of systems at Local Authorities, The NHS, Housing Organisations or other Care Provider type organisations
