This week we welcome four new faces to the Applause IT team. Rhianne, Aaliyah, Emmanuel & Vytas have successfully navigated themselves through our recruitment process and now begin their journey in to the world of recruitment. Our training manager Yasmin Aslam has been putting them through their paces this week as she prepares them for their specialist markets via our unique academy that introduces them to the technologies they’ll be working with, builds their own network of contacts in the industry and gives them a detailed knowledge of the full recruitment process. They’re very busy, but I was able to steal each of them for a quick chat to get to know them better, and see how they’re settling in.
With two degrees to her name, Rhianne moves into recruitment with the motivation of working somewhere she can make a big impact, where she feels she is making a greater impact with her time at work. Rhianne found the whole recruitment process to be comfortable(ish) and feels right at home in the Applause IT family. An interesting fact, Rhianne is a former student of Tae Kwon Do and Aikido, so we will be doing everything we can to ensure we stay on the right side of her! Having studied at Birmingham City University for her Psychology undergraduate degree, Rhianne crossed the city to Aston University for her Health Psychology Masters. At the weekend, Rhianne likes to relax by speculating on the football and horses. We shall be sure to make the most of her expert knowledge at next year’s annual trip to Ascot. Having secured her role at Applause IT, Rhianne is now working towards her next milestone achievement of buying her first home and we can’t wait to be a part of Rhianne’s journey towards this goal.
Another Psychology graduate, Aaliyah joins us from the University of Bedfordshire. A West Midlands native, she has returned from the South to embark on a career as a recruiter, something that she was passionate to get involved with. She can help others secure their dream roles and be rewarded for doing so. She was especially keen to get involved with the Applause IT family because of the chilled and happy environment she encountered throughout the recruitment process. In her spare time, there’s a good chance you could find Aaliyah watching shows such like Suits and to relax and wind down, Aaliyah finds Knitting and crochet a great stress reliever, and I’m sure we’ll get to see the fruits of her labour in the colder months - Applause IT scarves?!!
A Pharmaceutical Science graduate from Aston University, Emmanuel enters the recruitment industry feeling that his very particular skillset is better suited to the world of talent acquisition. He has a burning desire to be successful and feels that Applause IT strikes the perfect balance of a professional & relaxed environment for him to achieve his potential. Outside of work Emmanuel lives a very active lifestyle as a keen footballer and gym goer throughout his time at university. He now has his eyes set on boxing and would like to test himself in a new sport. In the rare time that Emmanuel is not on the go, you are likely to catch him relaxing with the latest offerings from Game of Thrones, The Vikings or Power. Emmanuel’s main motivator away from work is to get himself into property investment, and we look forward to supporting him towards his goals.
A naturally gifted sportsman, Vytas has played Futsal, the indoor discipline of Football, at an international level, representing England at competitions. He joins us from Worcester University where he studied Sports Business Management. Vytas was drawn to recruitment as he saw the potential to for fast progression and the possibility of being rewarded with our quarterly incentive trips. He feels this industry will suit his personal attributes and we believe he will thrive in our training Academy. In his spare time, you could find Vytas putting in the work at the gym, or socialising with his friends at the pub or cinema. Much like Emmanuel, Vytas has an eye for investment and looks forward to putting his hard work in the office to good use in developing a property portfolio of lettings.
The new recruits have hit the ground running as the hard work in Academy 4 begins straight away and we look forward to watching them grow and develop within the office environment. The next step for the group to their specialist market selection and finding out whether they shall be joining Dan Rodrigues’ North West desk or Alex Pitts’ Midlands desk. An important aspect of our operation is our digital identity, part of our commitment towards this is the social media training we offer our new recruits from day one with support along every step of their journey to be a modern recruiter. Our in-house digital marketing manager will work with the group to build their LinkedIn & Twitter profiles, as we continue to lead the way in social media recruitment. We like to make this an interactive experience, where the new starters can demonstrate their individual personalities and interests!
We have developed our academy to maximise:
“What do you do to get your new staff engaged & up to speed?”
